Step 2: Locate the Downloaded Sample Pack

Find the file on your computer after downloading the sample pack from Cedar Sound Studios. It's usually in your Downloads folder, but you can place it wherever you prefer for easy access.

On Windows, go to C:\Users\your_username\Downloads to locate the downloads folder.

On Mac, you can open it by going to Go, then, Downloads (Option+Command+L).

Step 3: Unzip the Files

Your sample pack may be compressed into a ZIP file. Use tools like 7z or WinRar to unzip it to reveal the individual sample files, or follow the guide below:

Windows provides a convenient, integrated tool for managing zip files. Right-click on the zipped file, and proceed to select the "Extract All" option. A wizard will prompt you to select a destination folder. After confirmation, the files will be available in that folder.

On MacOS, double-click on the zipped file, and you'll activate the Mac's Archive Utility. The extracted contents will be placed in the same location as the original zipped file. Alternatively, you can right-click on the zipped file, select "Open With," and then "Archive Utility". Now, the unzipping process will start. After that, you will find the unzipped files in the specified location.

Step 4: Open Logic Pro X

Launch the latest version of Logic Pro X on your computer. If you don't have it installed, download and install it before proceeding.

Step 5: Create a New Project or Open an Existing One

Start a new project if you want to build a track from scratch or open an existing one to add the samples to an ongoing project.

Step 6: Drag and Drop the Samples

Since you have already navigated to the sample packs folder, find the sample you want to use and drag drop onto your mixer tracks or channel rack to start using them in your masterpiece.
